Who We Are
Yachtpro Thailand is
a private company dedicated to providing the highest standard of
personal sailing services possible.
We are a focused International Sail Training Establishment and a quality charter
operator.
On offer are internationally recognised courses for beginners and
experienced sailors as well as a wide variety of holiday sailing.
We take pride in the achievements of and our continued relationships with
our clients, many of whom have returned numerous times.
The company's managing
director is Rob Williams, who established Yachtpro in Melbourne , which is
regarded as a leading sailing school in Australia .
Rob has raced and cruised the worlds oceans and seas. He has had racing success
at international level both inshore and offshore. His experience, professionalism
and enthusiasm is at your service and mirrored by our friendly staff.
Philosophy
We conduct all our sailing in a relaxed, friendly
environment and endeavor to cater for everybody's personal aspirations and
requirements.
Your sailing with us should be fun, safe and both individually
and collectively rewarding.
While we approach our job very seriously, we also enjoy it greatly and make every
endeavor to ensure that you will also.
Training
Our goal is for you to sail safely, competently and confidently
at your chosen level of proficiency.
The progressive approach to
learning that we employ facilitates speed of learning and skill acquisition
and our integration of theoretical and practical components maximises long
term benefits.
The yachts that we use are appropriate for the courses undertaken
on them and ensure optimum student instructor ratio.
Our training
techniques ensure that you are both competent and confident at your assessed
level of proficiency and that you are well aware of all elements that are
pertinent to it.
Whether you want to charter a yacht, crew on it or even skipper it. Certification
is proof of your skills, experience and training
Bareboat & Charter
Our goal is to make sure you have a holiday that you will always
remember fondly.
The sailing area is so intriguing that many of our clients return to discover
more.
Basically you can sail here for years and still be finding things you
had not seen.
Qualifications and Accreditations
Yachtpro has instructors qualified in:
- ASA Instructor Evaluator
- Yacht Cruising to Offshore Passage Making (Yachtmaster),
- Yacht Racing to Offshore Racing Skipper,
- Small
Boat Handling,
- Power and Rescue Boat Handling,
- Navigation,
and
- Radio Operation.
Yachtpro is accredited with and recognized by :
- International Sailing Schools Association
(ISSA)
- American Sailing Association (ASA), and
- Australian
Yachting Federation (AYF)
Yachtpro skippers are licensed Thai Captains, ensuring our operations
comply with local laws.
Where We Are
Our Administration Office is centrally located
in Phuket Town .
If you are trying to find us:
1. Go to the Royal Phuket City Hotel
2. When at the entrance, you will see the UBC shop.
3. Our office is on the opposite side of those buildings almost directly
behind UBC shop.
We are very close to the Bus Station.
Our Sailing Base is at Yacht Haven Marina In Baan
Kho En, Mai Khao.
From the Phuket Town Direction or the Airport; it is around 10-15 minute
drive past the airport junction and Blue Canyon Golf Club. Follow the
highway north.
At the big bend where there is a concrete wall along the road, Keep right and
make u-turn. Then follow the lay-by road into the village (Baan Kho En). Once
past the village, look for the Yachtpro Sign on the left.
Behind the high wall and big gate (wide-opened), through the driveway you'll
see our office.
